Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

There are two ways to register for the TOEFL:

  1. Visit the the TOEFL Web site to register online.
  2. Call the national number for the exam and tell them you want to take the exam at the University of Kansas, site #10655A. You must have a credit card or voucher.

Dates offered: The TOEFL will be offered this spring at the University of Kansas on the following dates:

  • July 25 ,
  • August 22 and 29 ,
  • September 11, 19 and 25 ,
  • October 10, 23 and 31,
  • November 7, 13 and 20
  • December 4, 11 and 19

If you find that you can't register on one of these days, please call our office. We should be able to help you schedule your exam.

Reporting time is 9:30. There may be other exams available in the area on different dates.

Registrations can be made online at www.toefl.org. Please note that you will find the KU testing site under the "Topeka" region choice.

The nearest alternate available sites are in Topeka (Sylvan Learning Center) and Kansas City (UMKC).

Time offered: Specific Designated testing dates (on TOEFL website)

Testing time: 4 hours

ID required: A valid Passport is required of all test takers who are not citizens or residents of the United States.

Re-testing: On designated testing dates.

Special requests: Please contact TOEFL.

Test Aids: No test aids allowed!

Study Materials: There are online demos available through the TOEFL website and books and software can be purchased at some area bookstores.
